Inclusive design

Accessibility

YugYug is committed to making its marketplace usable for everyone, regardless of ability. We design with accessibility in mind from the start.

Our commitment

WCAG 2.1 AA

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across the platform. Accessibility is a continuous effort — we test regularly and iterate based on feedback.

Keyboard navigation

All interactive elements — links, buttons, forms, and menus — are reachable and operable via keyboard. Focus states are visible throughout the interface.

Screen reader support

We use semantic HTML5 elements, ARIA labels, and meaningful alt text so assistive technologies can convey the interface structure and content accurately.

Color and contrast

Our Sylvan Accord design system meets a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text. We avoid conveying information through color alone.

Responsive and adaptive

The platform scales from mobile to desktop with consistent layouts. Text can be resized up to 200% without losing content or functionality.

Motion and animation

Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query. Users who disable motion in their OS settings will see static transitions.

Standards we follow

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA
  • Quebec Act respecting information technology accessibility (Bill 96)
  • ARIA Authoring Practices Guide

Accessibility feedback

Encountered a barrier? Let us know so we can fix it.

A formal VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) and third-party audit are planned before general availability.
